The global marine lubricant market is dominated by major brands such as Shell, Mobil, Chevron, Castrol/BP, Total, and Gulf Oil, which maintain worldwide supply networks through long-term contracts with shipowners. While these major suppliers cover mainstream products, certain lubricants are not stocked regionally or are excluded from global supply agreements.

Seaway Global complements these global supply chains by providing secondary marine lubricants and greases, maintaining inventory in Korea and Singapore for products that are not readily available from major brands at specific ports.

As Korea’s shipbuilding industry focuses on high-value vessels, newbuild vessels require specialty lubricants. However, major lube oil companies do not carry the full range of product lines. SWG holds authorized distributorships for a wide range of specialty brands and provide competitive quotations and reliable service.

In particular, Seaway Global holds the exclusive domestic distribution rights for SHRIEVE compressor oils, which are used in SMR (Submerged Motor Compressor) systems for LNG carriers, ensuring reliable supply for critical onboard equipment.
